I decided to do a summer anime preview even though I probably won’t be able to watch much in August and, for some reason, I haven’t gotten more than 3 episodes into most of my five picks for spring. Nevertheless, I feel I have to let you know what I am looking forward to watching and recap how my spring picks are progressing. The sun is out, flowers are blooming and the birds are chirping so it’s time for a slew of new anime to premiere in Japan. I’m actually gonna try to watch stuff this season because I want to stay somewhat current with what’s airing and being talked about. Flipping through the channels, trying to find something good…

In response to the 50+ anime premiering this fall and the fact that I’ll probably only follow three or less consistently, I decided to give very succinct, ten-word-or-less previews for seventeen of them. The ones that pique my interest can be found after the half-hearted one-liners.

As the shows of the spring and winter end, the summer shows take their place to get their time in the limelight before the. Twenty-four shows is a lot to do summaries of, so I narrowed it down to ten I’m looking forward to watching, if only for a couple episodes. Of course, I will try to watch the premieres of as many shows as I can but the following are the ones I think have the most promise.

Now about this preview being two weeks after everyone else’s. Since FLAG wasn’t widely released, I feel that the summer season really starts next week, thereby justifying my posting this now instead of on the 15th. Still should gotten this done earlier though… Read the rest of this entry »
